Subassemblies are assemblies of other parts, and each subassembly has its own drawing. In the B/M, a subassembly is treated as a single part with a single item number. The two example subassemblies shown in the example General Assembly (items 2 and 3) are discussed in the next topic.
Note: This type of assembly is a hypothetical example of a special fixture or piece of test equipment that might be used in R&D for the aerospace industry.
